Nuka-Cola Delivery Truck

Tilt the cab forward to reveal the engine bay and the Delivery Truck’s engine will illuminate with the classic blue radiation glow, which normally occurs in water-cooled nuclear reactors when charged particles pass through a dielectric medium at a speed greater than the phase velocity of light in that medium. Don’t worry though, in the interest of safety, this effect has been replicated in your Nuka-Cola Delivery Truck using a harmless blue light emitting diode, buried deep inside the engine. Open either of the Truck’s cab doors and the cab’s interior light will automatically illuminate.

The Delivery Truck is supplied with three AAA (LR03) batteries, although they are not installed. To install the batteries, unscrew the locking screw on the battery compartment door located between the front wheels and open the battery compartment. Install the batteries carefully making sure to follow the polarity markings. Once the batteries are installed, replace the battery compartment door and tighten the locking screw to prevent any unauthorised access to the battery compartment. Remember that AAA batteries are a choking hazard and should be kept away from children at all times. When replacing batteries always use good quality alkaline batteries. Remove the batteries when the vehicle is not in use for extended periods to prevent the batteries damaging the battery compartment if they leak. Always discard used batteries in a safe manner. For optimum battery life do not leave the engine bay or cab doors open permanently as the batteries will only power the LED lamps for about 15 hours if both are illuminated together and approximately 30 hours if only the engine or the cab’s interior light are lit on their own. The engine reactor core has a glow-in-the-dark coating and may be removed, however, take care not to lose this small part.

Licensing your Nuka-Cola Delivery Truck

The Delivery Truck is supplied with a unique license number printed on its license plate. Peel the unique self-adhesive license plate sticker away from its carrier film and apply it to the license plate holder on the back of the Delivery Truck. Affix the other license plate to the registration document to personalise it and link it to your Truck. Register your ownership at www.thewandcompany.com/register

Fitting the door mirrors

To avoid damaging the delicate parts that make up the door mirrors, the mirrors are supplied separately and will need to be fitted by the owner. If you would like to fit them permanently to your Delivery Truck, then a very small drop of superglue on end of the door mirror struts or inside the dorr mirror strut sockets is all that is required to make sure they stay put.

Caring for your Nuka-Cola Delivery Truck

The Delivery Truck is not a toy; it is a prop replica, treat it with care and keep out of reach of children. Do not immerse in water. Clean with a slightly damp cloth and occasionally polish to maintain its rich lustrous finish.

Displaying your Nuka-Cola Delivery Truck

Display with pride in a suitably prominent position on a mantelshelf with all your most precious collectibles.

WARNING – KEEP AAA (LR03) BATTERIES OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. Swallowing or inhaling them will lead to serious injury. Take care to secure the battery compartment door with the screw provided after installing the batteries, and examine the underside of the Delivery Truck to make sure the battery compartment is correctly secured, and that the screw is fully tightened. Do not use if the compartment is not secure. Dispose of used AAA batteries immediately and safely. Flat batteries can still be dangerous. DO NOT discard batteries in fire. Do not mix old and new batteries. Remove batteries from the Delivery Truck when storing it or it is not in use for extended periods. Tell others about the risk associated with AAA batteries and how to keep their children safe.
